Your Right to Data Deletion
At All in Wales, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. Under UK GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information at any time.
What Data We Store
We collect and store the following types of personal data:
- Email addresses (for newsletter subscriptions)
- User account information (username, email, password, profile data)
- Usage data through Google Analytics (anonymised)
- Any information you provide through contact forms

How to Request Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your data in the following ways:
Option 1: Delete Your Account Directly
If you have a user account, you can delete it yourself:
- Log in to your All in Wales account
- Go to Account Settings or Profile Settings
- Click on “Delete Account” or “Close Account”
- Confirm your deletion request
- Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Option 2: Unsubscribe from Newsletter
To remove your email address from our newsletter list:
- Click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any newsletter email
- Your email will be immediately removed from our mailing list
- You may receive one final confirmation email

If you prefer personal assistance or have specific deletion requests:

Please include:
- Your full name
- Email address associated with your account
- Specific data you want deleted (account, newsletter, etc.)
- Any additional information to help us locate your data
What Happens After You Request Deletion
Timeline
- Immediate acknowledgment: We will confirm receipt of your request within 48 hours
- Processing time: Your data will be deleted within 30 days of verification
- Confirmation: You will receive a final confirmation email once deletion is complete
What Gets Deleted
When you request data deletion, we will remove:
- Your user account and profile information
- Your email address from our newsletter list
- Any contact form submissions you’ve made
- Any comments or content you’ve posted (if applicable)
What May Be Retained
In some cases, we may need to retain certain information:
- Data required for legal or regulatory compliance (e.g., accounting records)
- Anonymised analytics data that cannot be linked back to you
- Backup copies (which will be deleted during routine backup cycles within 90 days)
- Information necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our Terms of Service
We will inform you if any data needs to be retained and the reason why.
Verification Process
To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorised deletion requests, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request. This may involve:
- Confirming your email address
- Asking security questions about your account
- Requesting additional identification if there are concerns about unauthorised access
Google Analytics Data
For data collected through Google Analytics:
- This data is anonymised and cannot be tied to individual users
- We cannot manually delete specific user data from Google Analytics
- Analytics data is automatically deleted after 26 months
- You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using browser extensions or privacy settings
Consequences of Data Deletion
Please be aware that deleting your data will result in:
- Loss of access to your user account and saved preferences
- Removal from our newsletter and communications
- Inability to recover your account or data once deleted
- Loss of any content, comments, or contributions you’ve made
Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Alternative: Data Export
If you would like a copy of your data before deletion, you can request a data export:
- Contact us at info@allinwales.com
- Request a “Data Export” or “Data Download”
- We will provide your data in a portable format (typically CSV or JSON)
- After receiving your data, you can then proceed with deletion if desired
