How many cities are in Wales?

I have been asked a lot over my travels how many cities are in Wales? The answer may shock you.

There are 7 (seven) Cities in Wales.

This was more than I thought there was when I previously looked it up. A list of the seven welsh cities are below.

  • Highlights: Coastal city on Swansea Bay, known for its beaches, Dylan Thomas (poet), and nearby Gower Peninsula (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).

3. Newport

  • Population: ~160,000

  • Highlights: On the River Usk, famous for its Transporter Bridge, Celtic Manor Resort (hosted the 2010 Ryder Cup), and strong industrial heritage.
